Diploma in Information Technology Level 7
The diploma is composed of twelve units. Eight core units are compulsory. Four core units are designed to achieve knowledge and skills in designing, installing and testing single user computers and multi-user networks. Four core units develop skills in project management, user training, technical documentation, and ability to make presentations. Three optional sets of units make up the remaining four units and refine the application of skills and knowledge into specialist strands of: Computer Operations & Support, Computer Networks, and Web Design & Development. Graduates will have an extensive range of knowledge and skills across key elements of computing with skills to apply knowledge in the optional strand they select. This will equip them to enter immediately into a productive role within an organisation or progress into further study in specialist areas. This course is a level 7 qualification with total of 240 credits.

A. Course requirements: Applicants must hold a computing or information technology qualification at level 5 or equivalent, or higher

In addition, international students must be at least 18 years of age and must provide evidence of English language proficiency (at least IELTS 6.0 or equivalent) or successfully complete the AWI placement test for the Diploma in Information Technology (Level 7).
B. Course requirements: Pre- course approval to complete 1 year of study: Applicants must hold a Level 6 qualification in computing or information technology or equivalent, or higher

Course length: 36 weeks is available to students who can show evidence of a Level 6 qualification in Computing or Information Technology.
In addition, international students must be at least 18 years of age and must provide evidence of English language proficiency (at least IELTS 6.0 or equivalent) or successfully complete the AWI placement test for the Diploma in Information Technology (Level 7).
