AWI contracts an independent homestay agency that checks all homestay families for suitability and quality. We want to make sure that you will be happy there. For any homestay issues please contact our Administrator.

For students who are new to the country or have not lived alone before, AWI recommends the use of Homestays. If you wish to use this option please inform your Marketing Consultant. They can provide you with information about your options.

All students under 18 years old must live in an approved homestay or with a legal guardian.

Your homestay room should be furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk/table, lamp and a chair for studying. There should also be adequate lighting and heating. Meals are usually provided.

Homestay Payments should be made in advance. If you wish to extend you homestay, you must check with your host family and see the Administrator to fill in a homestay extension form. You have to complete the extension form 2 weeks in advance. Make sure you have paid for your next homestay period well before it is due.
